UltraFacility is proud to partner with Sustainable Organic Integrated Livelihoods (SOIL) and NALCO Water to offset carbon emissions associated with participant travel to our 2025 conference in Austin, TX.
What is SOIL?
The world is experiencing an unprecedented sanitation crisis with more than half of the global population lacking access to a toilet that safely manages human waste.
Since 2006, SOIL has been expanding access to safe, affordable, and dignified sanitation services in some of Haiti’s most vulnerable urban communities. SOIL currently provides lifesaving sanitation to over 19,000 people, safely collecting and processing 100% of household waste, and transforming it into over 250 tonnes of nutrient-packed compost annually.
With the help of NALCO Water, UltraFacility Conference 2025 is proud to support Sustainable Organic Integrated Livelihoods (SOIL).

Our Partnerships
UltraFacility was born from the challenge of meeting a growing demand for ultrapure water as natural resources diminish. This sustainability question remains at our core, and is why we’ve selected an offsetting solution that reduces GHGs and addresses the water sector’s sanitation crisis.
Our partner SOIL faced their own challenge; like many smaller, localised organisations they struggled to access the kind of funding typically afforded to large-scale carbon offsetting schemes like reforestation. SOIL’s solution was to build a direct partnership model – omitting the trading platforms and intermediaries of voluntary ETSs.
Using rigorous research to establish their own carbon pricing schema, SOIL’s innovative funding framework affords transparency for both parties, allowing UltraFacility and NALCO Water to deliver direct impact in communities less than 2,000 miles away from the conference.
